Dollar General is fun on the one day a week that you can use a DG coupon (print from their website) $5 off $25. Or if you shop that week, the coupon prints on a receipt!
What I do is plan to get $25 worth of product and have $25 in coupons. This week, my 1st transaction I did :
4 packages of BIC disposable razors (2.75 each)
*coupon $3 off each (came from Sunday Louisville newspaper and you can order from Ebay)
Made .25 off each one!!
4things of Colgate toothpaste (1.00 each)
* coupon $1 off each (came from Sunday Louisville newspaper and you can order from Ebay)
FREE
8 things of Dawn Dish detergent ($1 each sale)
Coupon $1 off 2
2Dial hand soaps ($1 each sale)
Coupon $1 off 2
$25 worth of product
Coupons: $5 off DG (use before other coupons) +all listed above= $26
Therefore total is free!!! You have to pay sales tax but because the total $ in coupons exceeds amount the end price was only .20 :)
